03.19.04 - Do I ever cross your mind, anytime? Do you ever wake up reaching out for me...

:: Thursday, May 01, 2003 ::
Geez, Louise, I am going to need a mighty sedative or heavy barbituate of some kind to put me down tonight after that wonderful P/S filled AI episode.

But first things first: Ruben in the bottom 2? What the frick? I think that everybody had the same sentiments. Things all of a sudden went deathly still while everybody tried to collect their jaws off of their respective living room floors. Simon's reaction was priceless, and if Simon reacted like that, it only makes me wonder what Paula and Randy's expressions were. Anyway, Ruben is safe, but I bet that everybody will be calling in for him next week since they've all gotten this sort of reality check. Part of me feels sorry for Josh, because even though he shouldn't be in the competition for even a second longer, he seems to know that as well. But that accent....dude (haha, I've got a little bit of Randy in me), he's got to lose that, and fast.

Looks like the competition will certainly be interesting for these last 4 weeks. Wait...LAST 4 WEEKS?? Where the hell did all the time go? I will certainly be feeling symptoms of withdrawal, much like what I felt when they pulled the first cast out of Pensacola: Wings of Gold; plenty usage of my VCR...

On plenty of lighter notes, this was a wicked Simaula week:
- Paula pets Simon and hugs him after Clay's first performance
- plenty of armrest sharing!
- Paula kisses Simon on the cheek, and he really doesn't seem to mind...actually looks blissful in some screencaps
- Simon whispers something to her last night (I forgot exactly when it was)
- Paula and Randy dance until Simon cuts in to dance with...Randy, lol...but then he sits down where Paula promptly sits on his lap; he has his hand on her shoulder, and looks like he's singing some of the words to Ruben's song; even as she gets up to move back to her own seat, their hands are clearly still intertwined:

(thanks to blackbird for the screencaps)
- They hug at the end of the results show

I am officially a happy gal, aside from all the crap work that I have to do. But at least I have chemistry off my back!
Now, if only I can figure out how to do implicit differentiation in calculus, I will be able to have found a new plateau of enlightenment.....
